What this is
New York City prequalifies construction firms trade by trade — concrete, electrical, plumbing, roofing and hundreds more — so that agencies can solicit bids from the list. The City publishes one line per firm and trade; this site gathers them into one record per firm, with all its trades. This site keeps the companies — names that carry Inc, LLC, Corp and the like — and makes them searchable by name, type and place.
Who uses it
- Suppliers and landlords — is this company in the New York City file, and since when?
- Sales teams — companies by type and place, and the newest ones.
- Owners — your own record as the source publishes it.
What it is not
Not the City of New York, and not a certificate. Individuals and names without a company word are left out. The revenue band is the City's own yes/no indicator. Ownership indicators in the City's file are not shown. The record ID is made by this site from the name and address.
